Whakatāne's Local Wild Food Festival is back in 2023 but this time it's bigger and better that before.

 

The Local Wild Food Festival will look to continue the excellence from the previously named Ōhope Local Wild Food Challenge. 

 

The challenge element of the food festival will return in 2023 and we encourage local foodies to enter the competition; preparing a wild food dish presented for judging on the day. The kids cooking competition will also return with a number of prizes up for grabs for both the adult and children’s categories.
